I love when you say "Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to Tosh Talks..." I don't know why but it makes me all giddy. Maybe it's all the exciting finger pointing. Anyways, did you know I once wrote an essay on Futurism? Yes, in fact, it was called, "E.E. Cummings and Futurism: Love and War in the Modern World." My stance at the time, however, was that I did not like Futurism, because I was a romantic. I liked their poetic style and I liked their energy but I didn't care for their values. Well, I still am a romantic and don't care too much for machines.
Those are beautiful books though and I enjoyed your reading of the hairdresser manifesto! On the hairdressing note, I met Vidal Sassoon last night! Look for that post soon!

I think I know where you are coming from, but the Italian Futurists I think were romantic - with respect that they see romance in machines, war, and fast cars. I want to read your essay!
