I am very excited about the upcoming release of this new non-fiction book by Barry Miles, regarding the social history of London from the 1940's. Miles is a good writer and he knows his subject matter very well.

I enjoy Miles' writing as well, so I look forward to this. Shame about the cover, though. It's a lazy rip-off of the cover of Simon Napier-Bell's You Don't Have to Say You Love Me. As these books cover the same time period it makes the design choice rather unimaginative.
The Simon Napier-Bell book is great.
