Jack Hirschman is a poet and translator. A dear friend of the family, which means Wallace Berman. I first met Jack as a child in Los Angeles, but eventually, he moved to San Francisco, very close to the social world of that city, which includes the ultimate Beat Culture bookstore, City Lights.
