Today would have been Duncan Hannah's 70th birthday. He's a favorite painter of mine, but also I became friendly with him online as well as having dinner with him in NYC a few years back. I connected to his aesthetic, and he was (or is to me) a truly wonderful fellow. He was a beautiful man (visually as well as mentally) and I miss his living presence greatly.
